Symrise Buys Stake in Peptides

Symrise has bought into peptide technology. The company announced it has acquired a 20% stake in US biotechnology firm Therapeutic Peptides Inc. (TPI). The deal that will give Symrise exclusive distribution rights for a group of peptide-based active cosmetic ingredients.

Symrise finds the deal with help strengthen its position in the active ingredients sector, especially when peptides are popular in the antiaging market. TPI reportedly will gain R&D opportunities and worldwide distribution. Financial terms were not disclosed. For more information, visit www.symrise.com.
