AURIST™ GHI: All-natural rheology modifier with broad compatibilities

Iff Ct2302 Lead

IFF introduces AURIST™ GHI, an all-natural rheology modifier. Extracted from guar bean, AURIST™ GHI is a thickener with broad compatibilities and suitable for multiple applications including skincare, haircare, leave-on and rinse-off products.

AURIST™ GHI (INCI: Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba (Guar) Gum) is stable across a wide range of pH levels and supports formulation with cationic components. In addition to being easy to formulate with, AURIST™ GHI is also cold processable, and can hence help to reduce energy and cost for the production of beauty and personal care products.

Furthermore, this new ingredient shows excellent synergies with other hydrocolloids to deliver high-viscosity solutions even at low concentration. This allows cosmetic formulators to reduce the total use level of rheology modifiers in their final formulations. In an IFF study of an AURIST™ GHI and xanthan gum mixture, the combination not only improved sensory lubrication profile but also reduced overall stickiness.
