On Nov. 22, 2023, China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) released the finalized "Provisions for Management of Toothpaste Notification Dossiers,"¹ which came into effect on Dec. 1, 2023.² This document consists of three chapters and 32 articles and outlines specific requirements for toothpaste notification, covering aspects such as product formula, labeling, efficacy claims and sales packaging. The aim is to provide clear guidance for toothpaste notifiers in preparing and submitting notification dossiers.
