Clearly there is an ongoing need in the fragrance industry to provide new chemicals that give perfumers and others the ability to create new fragrances for perfumes, colognes and personal care products. Further, those skilled in the art appreciate how small differences in chemical structures can result in unexpected and significant differences in odor, notes and characte­ristics of molecules.

Here, the inventors describe novel cyclohexanol compounds and their unexpected advantages for improving, enhancing or modifying the fragrance of perfumes, colognes, cosmetic products, personal care, fabric care, air fresheners and the like.

The chemical is a high-intensity fragrance composition that comprises, by weight: a) 75% to 100% of at least two fragrance ingredients containing only atoms of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen, further comprising an ester functional group, an alcohol functional group or an aldehyde functional group; b) 0% to 25% of an essential oil; and c) 0% to 25% of a fragrance ingredient other than the fragrance ingredients in category a), wherein the sum of a), b) and c) equals 100%.
