The present invention involves new cosmetic, personal care, cleaning agent, biocidal agent, functional food and nutritional supplement compositions. These new compositions incorporate bioactive glass into cosmetics, personal care items, cleaning agents, biocidal agents, functional foods, and nutritional supplements. The present invention also involves methods of making and methods of using such compositions.
Compositions comprising at least one ester of at least one hydroxylated aliphatic compound
Compositions comprising at least one ester which comprises at least one aromatic group, which is liquid at room temperature and which is derived from esterification with: (i) at least one aromatic acid of (ii) at least one hydroxyl group of at least one hydroxylated aliphatic compound chosen from hydroxylated aliphatic acids and esters of hydroxylated aliphatic acids, wherein said at least one hydroxyl group is chosen from pendant hydroxyl groups and terminal hydroxyl groups. The inventive compositions may be used for, for example, making up the face, body or superficial body growths of human beings and may constitute, for example, a lipstick, a lip gloss, a tattooing product, an eye shadow, a mascara, a product for caring for the hair or a nail varnish.

Compositions having improved soft focus effect properties
The invention relates to a composition, especially a cosmetic composition, containing at least one silicone elastomer and at least one encapsulated pigment, wherein the refractive index of the pigment is greater than the refractive index of the encapsulating material.
