Carvacrol used as an active ingredient has lower cytotoxicity than retinol used as an antiwrinkle agent. It also inhibits collagenase activity and promotes collagen biosynthesis at a molecular level. Carvacrol is an antioxidant. It also promotes skin growth and helps prevent hair loss.
