Disclosed is a skin-beautifying agent comprising a milk-derived phospholipid as an active ingredient in a food, beverage or feed. Preferably, the milk-derived phospholipid is a composition prepared from milk or a milk material, contains a lipid in an amount of 40–70 wt% relative to the total amount of all solid materials and also contains the milk-derived phospholipid in an amount of 30 wt% or more relative to the total amount of all solid materials. WO/2008/096888 Fujifilm Corp. Powder composition, method for producing the same, and food composition, cosmetic composition and pharmaceutical composition containing the same A powder composition of a functional oil material is obtained by drying an emulsion composition comprising at least one functional oil component and at least one water-soluble encapsulating agent such that (i) the encapsulating agent is selected from saccharides containing at least two sugar units including a fructose unit or (ii) the encapsulating agent is selected from saccharides containing at least one galactose unit and one fructose unit. Illustrations show the powder used in food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions.
Compositions for improving skin conditions comprising carvacrol as an active ingredient
Carvacrol used as an active ingredient has lower cytotoxicity than retinol used as an antiwrinkle agent. It also inhibits collagenase activity and promotes collagen biosynthesis at a molecular level. Carvacrol is an antioxidant. It also promotes skin growth and helps prevent hair loss. Compositions of this invention can be applied to cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food compositions having no cytotoxicities and side effects.
Compositions for improving skin conditions comprising matrine or its oxidized derivatives
Matrine and oxymatrine have lower cytotoxicity than retinol when used as an antiwrinkle agent. They also inhibit collagenase activity and promote collagen biosynthesis at a molecular level. They also inhibit melanin production by inhibiting intracellular tyrosinase activity. Furthermore, they have the excellent antiobesity and antioxidation effects. Compositions of this invention can be applied to cosmetic, pharmaceutical and food compositions having no cytotoxicities and side effects.
