Abstract: A lipophilic extract from the fruits of the Chinese plant Zanthoxylum alatum Roxb can be diluted with oleyl alcohol to yield a cometic ingredient that soothes sensitive skin.

A lipophilic extract has been prepared form the fruits of Zanthoxylum alatum Roxb., a Chinese plant used in China as a spice, and credited with reducing mouth irritation due to food.
