Title: Antiaging Echinacea and Antioxidant Vegetables
  • Article

At In-Cosmetics in Milan, Symrise will introduce a natural, anti-aging active extracted from echinacea in addition to a line of seven vegetable extracts.

SymFinity1298 (INCI: Echinacea Purpurea Extract) is said to strengthen skin cells' resilience to stress, protect skin against environmental damage responsible for wrinkles, and prevent age spots. The company found the echinacea extract to exhibit both anti-irritant and antioxidant benefits. Ex vivo studies conducted by the company reportedly also showed that the active was beneficial for skin.

At the event, the company will also be debuting Actipone Superveggies, a line of vegetable extracts with skin benefits such as antioxidant effects. Offered in the vegetable line are extracts of: artichoke, asparagus, beet, broccoli, pumpkin, spinach and zucchini.

The company will also be highlighting its line of Actipone "healthy grains," as previously reported in Cosmetics & Toiletries magazine.
