Green Science Alliance has developed a dissolvable, biodegradable micro needle with natural materials.

Hirohisa Iwabayashi and Ryohei Mori, Ph.D. of Green Science Alliance have developed biodegradable micro needles with polysaccharide that is safe and dissoluble in the human body. This type of biodegradable micro needle can also be applied for DDS (Drug Delivery System) in which drugs and medicines can be carried into human body effectively without pain, per the company.

Various type of drugs and active ingredients can be combined with this type of micro needle and can be used as needle patch therapy to the skin surface, per the company. 

Green Science Alliance plans to combine its natural biodegradable micro needle with materials such as quantum dot, ionic liquid which as well as utilize the needles for various kinds of medical and cosmetic applications.
