Salycuminol (INCI: Isodecyl Salicylate (and) Isopropylbenzyl Salicylate) are long chain esters of salicylic acid acting as a local cutaneous modulator of skin inflammatory response. Characterized also by anti-lipoperoxidant and keratoplastic (not keratolytic) activity, it optimizes the epidermal turnover, improves the appearance of cutis and reinforces its barrier effect. It is also a physiological alternative to α-hydroxy acids and contributes to give skin brightness.
