Cosmetics & Toiletries magazine will present the fifth International Technology Awards at In-Cosmetics in Paris, to be held April 13–15, 2010, to honor one new technology and one new technology launch for their impact on the cosmetics industry.
The New Technology Award will recognize a significant new technology launched from fall 2008–Dec. 1, 2009 for its importance and long-term impact on the industry. Similarly, the New Technology Launch Award will recognize the effect of a new technology launch (marketing campaign) on the industry, as well as its uniqueness.
Nominations for both awards must be submitted by Dec. 1, 2009, at which point they will be reviewed by an international council of R&D experts at leading cosmetic and personal care companies around the world. This council will select up to three finalists in each category and from those finalists, a separate industry jury will choose the winners. The winners will be announced at In-Cosmetics in Paris and will be profiled in Cosmetics & Toiletries magazine.
Held annually in the spring in a major European city, In-Cosmetics joins leading cosmetics R&D experts, suppliers and marketing specialists from around the world to showcase a diverse range of ingredients and services—the perfect setting for C&T magazine to honor top innovators and marketers in the industry.
To nominate a technology or a technology launch, download and complete the submission form and e-mail it "Attn: International Technology Awards" to firstname.lastname@example.org; mail it to Cosmetics & Toiletries magazine, International Technology Awards, 336 Gundersen Drive, Suite A, Carol Stream, IL 60188-2403 USA; or fax it "Attn: International Technology Awards" to 1-630-653-2192. 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award
Also debuting at the event's 25th anniversary is the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award. The award will honor an outstanding individual whose professional accomplishments have made a significant and lasting impact on the field of cosmetic science.
New for the show, the Lifetime Achievement Award is an In-Cosmetics initiative that will run alongside the respected C&T magazine's International Technology Awards. Nominations for the Lifetime Achievement Award can be made at the event Web site at www.in-cosmetics.com/awards.
Lucy Gillam, exhibition director of In-Cosmetics, commented, “2010 is a very special year for In-Cosmetics and what better way to celebrate our 20th anniversary than by recognizing the achievements of the greatest minds within our industry. The winner will be decided by public vote, so by launching this new Lifetime Achievement Award, we are offering the industry a platform to recognize an individual who has led and inspired those around them throughout their career and is a shining example of why this industry is still strong and growing year-on-year.”
The In-Cosmetics Lifetime Achievement Award nominations will close on Jan. 15, 2010, and the top six nominees will be announced on Jan. 25, 2010. An online public vote for the winner will then open and remain open until March 31, 2010. The winner will subsequently be announced at an awards ceremony in Paris on April 14, 2010.
