Described by this patent is a botanical antioxidant composition including a first extract comprising at least one hydroxycinnamic acid, and at least one additional antioxidant extract comprising one or more antioxidants selected from the group consisting of vitamins, stilbenoids, curcumininoids, tannins, flavones, fiavonols, flavan-3-ols, flavanones, anthocyanidins, anthocyanins, isoflavones, flavanonols, proanthocyanidins, dihydroxybenzoic acids and pyridine alkaloids.
