Disclosed are malodor-free skin care compositions comprising an adsorbable solvent and an insoluble particle in an adsorbable solvent-insoluble particle complex. The complex is suitable to adsorb components with malodor to yield a skin care composition free of offensive odors like those generated from the oxidation of conjugated linoleic acid.
Cosmetic composition for keratinous substrates with triarylmethane compounds
Disclosed is a method of imparting color onto keratinous substrates. The method involves contacting the substrate with a composition comprising at least one triarylmethane dye molecule, at least one film forming agent, and at least one solvent, and then irradiating the substrate with a flash of light. The dye molecule is chosen from polymeric triarylmethane dye molecules, copolymeric triarylmethane dye molecules, oligomeric triarylmethane dye molecules, and mixtures thereof.
Cosmetic composition comprising a polymer and fibres
The invention relates to a composition comprising, in a physiologically acceptable medium containing a fatty phase, a polymer with a weight-average molecular mass of less than 100,000 and in particular ranging from 1,000 to 30,000, and fibers. The polymer consists of a polymer skeleton containing hydrocarbon-based repeating units containing at least one hetero atom; fibers are linked to these units. Optionally the polymer may have pendent fatty chains and/or terminal fatty chains, which may be functionalized, containing from 6 to 120 carbon atoms. The invention especially relates to a mascara.

Disclosed is a composition comprising a fragrance oil of specified composition, an entrapment material, and at least 50% by weight of a volatile solvent. The entrapment material is selected from the group consisting of polymers; capsules, microcapsules, and nanocapsules; liposomes; pro-perfumes; film formers; absorbents; cyclic oligosaccharides and mixtures thereof. The invention provides compositions wherein the fragrance character remains detectable for 2–6 hours after the composition has been applied to the substrate.
