The Personal Care Products Council is calling for public comments on a guideline drafted to outline the stability testing of cosmetic products. The deadline for comments on the Guideline for Stability Testing of Cosmetics is Nov. 15, 2010.
According to the group, the draft updates a 2004 general document that was prepared jointly by the council and Colipa, and a subsequent annex to that document prepared by Colipa. The guideline outlines key stability parameters for cosmetic and personal care products, and is reportedly intended to serve as a resource for manufacturers in the development of a stability testing program.
An electronic copy of the draft guidelines is available from the group's science department by contacting Joanne Nikitakis at 1-202-454-0338 or firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information about cosmetic and personal care products, visit the group's website.
