FDA Director Honored

Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) director and scientific coordinator Alan Andersen, Ph.D., has been awarded with the Distinguished Alumni Award by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). According to the FDA, the award is given to an former FDA employee who's contributions and service had a major impact on the agency and who's values reflected a commitment to meeting the agency's mission of protecting public health. Andersen was recognized for his 22 years of public service, 13 of which were with the CIR program, and work with the FDA alumni association.
