Through a partnership between Bio-Botanica and DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products, Bio-Botanica is now offering Zea Botanicals, a line of its naturally derived plant extracts that incorporate DuPont's Zemea propanediol.
Bio-Botanica utilizes its proprietary Bio-Chelation process to manufacture botanical extracts in combination with Zemea for natural personal care and cosmetic applications.
Zemea is a natural, preservative-boosting humectant that replaces petroleum-based glycols such as propylene glycol and butylene glycol, as well as glycerin. This significantly reduces both green-house gas emissions and non-renewable energy use.
