Title: New Particle Laboratory in Massachusetts
  • Article

A laboratory the solves particle size reduction challenges in all industries has been constructed in Salem, Mass., USA. Bematek Systems Inc. solves particle size through wet-mix process systems for high and low shear mixing of emulsions and dispersions and provides scale-up to full production.

Products that can be tested at Bematek's Process Test Laboratory include lotions, creams, foods and purees that require precise homogenization. The lab reportedly will use in-line dynamic wet mixers or colloid mills to match a customer's application for particle size reduction, deagglomeration and blending.

According to the company, its modular, dynamic in-line mixers feature a patented mixing head with shear action zones that allow the entire batch to mix at the same level, resulting in uniform batch-to-batch results. For more information, visit www.bematek.com.
