Theresa Callaghan, PhD, former director of international business development and scientific affairs for proDERM GmbH and C&T magazine advisory board member, has created a specialist company dedicated to providing customized consulting services for the dermatological industry.
DermPharCos will focus on: strategic intelligence for enhanced innovation; developing and defining product claims; and providing scientific integrity for media channels and promotion. The company will provide speciality services such as: business development strategies for cosmetics, dermatologicals, and wound care; claims development and study designs; technology and innovation development; making sense of science: technical marketing writing, scientific writing, marketing development, translating science; and competitor analysis.
According to Callaghan, the company will be integral in product development, marketing , advertising and regulatory authority due to the scientific background needed for product evaluation.
A biochemist by training, Callaghan has served more than 20 years in senior management and director positions within the industry at such companies as Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, Evonik, Hill Top Research, and more.
