Univar Acquires Arinos Química Ltda.

Univar Inc. has acquired Arinos Química Ltda., a distributor of specialty and commodity chemicals in Brazil. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

According to Univar, the Arinos acquisition will provide it with greater presence in the growing Brazilian market. The acquisition reportedly will provide enhanced services to Arinos customers, access to a broader base of chemical manufacturers and products and opportunities to leverage the global sourcing capabilities of Univar.
