Increasing Cellular Communication for Skin Matrix Repair

In addition to discussing its pore minimizing blend PoreAway at In-Cosmetics in Barcelona, Mibelle Biochemistry will also be debuting an anti-aging active said to boost cell communication for skin matrix repair.
Communication between skin cells, which is mediated by growth factors, is reduced with age, which decreases the activity of fibroblasts. The extracellular matrix (ECM) is affected by a reduction in the skin’s firmness, elasticity and density.
DermCom (INCI: Crocus Chrysanthus Bulb Extract (and) Acacia Senegal Gum (and) Water (aqua)) reaches fibroblasts through intercellular communication to rejuvenate the skin matrix. The active stimulates the communication between epidermal and dermal skin cells by triggering keratinocytes to secrete growth factors. These growth factors enhance the synthesis of collagen and elastin in the dermis.
The company conducted clinical studies, which showed the active to boost collagen and elastin production, to stimulate natural growth factors of the skin and to renew the skin’s resilience and firmness.
