Color Changing Effect Pigments

Kobo Products Inc. has introduced a line of iridescent effect pigments that exhibit color travel. Kobopearl Perpetuals travel from one color to another, as displayed by their trade names. For example, Kobopearl Perpetual BlueViolet (INCI: Synthetic Fluorphlogopite (and) Silica (and) Titanium Dioxide) travels from blue to violet, whereas Kobopearl Perpetual IO GreenRed (INCI: Synthetic Fluorphlogopite (and) Silica (and) Iron Oxides (CI 77491) (and) Titanium Dioxide) travels from green to red.
The line offers 10 treated pigments, five comprised of synthetic fluorphlogopite, silica and titanium dioxide, i.e., GoldGreen, GreenBlue, RedGold and VioletRed (INCI: Synthetic Fluorphlogopite (And) Silica (And) Titanium Dioxide), and five that also incorporate iron oxide, i.e., IO BlueOrange, IO OrangeCyan, IO RedOrange and IO VioletOrange (INCI: Synthetic Fluorphlogopite (and) Silica (and) Iron Oxides (CI 77491) (and) Titanium Dioxide). The particle sizes range from 30 to 120 μm. They are supplied as free flowing powders.
