Alban Muller Introduces Natural Anti-aging and Antioxidant Ingredients

Alban Muller has introduced two new ingredients: an anti-aging active that combines hibiscus and baobab and an antioxidant from rosemary that protects oil-soluble ingredients and cosmetic formulations.

Repulpami ER (INCI: Glycerin (and) Water (aqua) (and) Adansonia Digitata Pulp Extract (and) Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Extract) plumps and firms skin while reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The active was developed by bringing together white hibiscus (bissap) and baobab from the Tambacounda and Louga regions of Africa.

The active's plumping action works by inhibiting lipolysis and stimulating adipogenesis. Its firming action works by stimulating the expression of the genes coding for the proteins responsible for tight-junctions and thus for the strength and tone of the skin. Finally, the active reduces the appearance of wrinkles by reducing facial muscle contractions.

The active is recommended for: anti-aging face care products; mature skin care products; lip products; bust, neck and décolleté care products; and firming products for the arms. This product has been developed in compliance with the A.M.I. eco-responsibility approach, as part of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) projects in Senegal, aiming at promoting the women’s work and a sustainable local economy.

Amiox ER (INC: Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil (and) Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract) is a concentrated extract of a rosemary variety rich in active principles, resulting from a rigorous agronomic selection. It is titrated in carnosic acid and carnosol, molecules with recognized antioxidant properties. The extraction is made with plant-based ethanol, allowing Amiox ER to conform to the Cosmos standard. Amiox ER is an excellent alternative to traditional antioxidants. It protects the photosensitive oil phase of cosmetic formulations.
