Bio-functional Blend for Antiaging

Fancor, a subsidiary of the Fanning Corp., has combined several naturally derived, bio-functional ingredients to fight aging. Antiaging Skin Complex (INCI: Meadowfoam Estolide (and) Meadowfoam Delta-Lactone (and) Crambe Abyssinica Seed Oil (and) Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil (and) Olive Oil Unsaponifiables (and) Beta-sitosterol) provides moisturization and anti-irritancy in skin care formulas.
According to the company, the meadowfoam estolide is structurally similar to ceramides and provides hydration and protection against TEWL. Meadowfoam delta-lactone responds to the changing pH of the skin mantle and serves as an anti-irritant. Finally, Crambe abyssinica seed oil imparts the nutritive benefits of omega-3 and -6 essential fatty acids.
The blend is designed to retain essential fluids in the skin to tone and reduce wrinkles; it also employs unsaponifiables for emolliency and softness, vitamin E to protect against oxidation, and phytosterols for cell membrane integrity.
