Alban Muller’s Cytokalmine ER (INCI: Maltitol (and) Punica Granatum Extract) is designed to reduce the general mechanism of inflammatory reaction and oxidative stress, serving as a solution for blue light damage.
Blue light can make skin appear worse than UV rays as it penetrates deeply into skin tissues, leading to a cascade of reactions that cause premature aging. In response, Cytokalmine ER was developed and, upon in vitro and ex vitro testing, proven to reduce the secretion of inflammatory cytokines and decrease the production of ROS, which are responsible for skin inflammation.
