Origins' Dr. Andrew Weil collection draws on the restorative and preventative properties of matcha in its latest launch. The inspiration for the Way of the Bath Matcha Tea Body Scrub was the the Matcha tea ceremony, a Japanese Zen Buddhist ritual. According to the company, matcha, a type of green tea, contains one of the highest antioxidant levels of all green teas. The company formulates with matcha to soften and smooth skin, while sea salts exfoliate and remove dead skin.
Also being launched by the brand is a lip balm featuring the soothing properties of tumeric. The Conditioning Lip Balm with Tumeric also is formulated with cocoa butter, jojoba, beeswax and muru muru, which are said to hydrate the lips. Mango seed butter and rice bran oil are incorporated into the product to provide antioxidant protect.
