BASF recently highlighted Plantaren 1200 N UP (INCI: Lauryl Glucoside), an alkyl polyglucoside (APG) surfactant with multiple applications that aims to provide fresh cleaning while also being gentle to the planet.

The ingredient offers foaming performance and a lower irritation rating than SLS as it can be used by those with sensitive skin. Further, the ingredient aligns with the clean beauty trend, being derived from natural, renewable plant-derived feedstocks, and is readily biodegradable.

Plantaren 1200 N UP has a pasty appearance and can be formulated in body wash, face wash, liquid hand soap, shampoo, oral care, sensitive skin care and wipes.
