Perfluoropolyethers to Prevent ICD

Skin and Skin Care
Perfluoropolyethers to prevent ICD: Schliemann-Willers et al. report on the efficacy of a new class of perfluoropolyethers in the prevention of irritant contact dermatitis (ICD).

ICD is one of the most relevant problems in occupational medicine. Detergents, solvents, acids, alkaline solutions, cutting oils or even plain water may lead to damage of the epidermal barrier function and cause ICD. Protective creams play an important part in the prevention of occupational contact dermatitis.
