The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced it will hold a public meeting on June 5, 2019, to solicit input on topics relevant for further discussion during the July 9-11, 2019, meeting for the International Cooperation on Cosmetics Regulation-13 (ICCR-13).

According to the agency, the input gathered will help it prepare for the ICCR-13 event, which brings together a voluntary group of cosmetics regulatory authorities from Brazil, Canada, the European Union, Japan and the United States. ICCR members work to derive a consensus that will be compatible with the laws, policies, rules, regulations and directives of the respective administrations and governments.

The FDA encourages members of the public to present proposals for future ICCR agenda items and/or data, information, or views on pending issues orally or in writing at the public meeting. Members of the public may attend the meeting either in person or by phone; registration information is available in the Federal Register Notice.
