CVS Employs Cosmetic Safety Policy

US Drugstore CVS has employed a new cosmetic safety policy, according to its Corporate Social Responsibility Report. CVS Caremark is a pledge by the company to replace ingredients of concern in its house-branded products and encourage other brands carried in the store to do the same.

Although no immediate action will be involved in the policy, the company reportedly will create partnerships with cosmetic safety organizations to be better informed. In addition, it will evaluate its house-branded products when questions arise surrounding the safety of ingredients contained therein. The company also inform the manufacturers it carries of its policy.
