Symrise has appointed Bernd Heinken to the newly created position of technical director, micro protection for the Europe, Africa and Middle East (EAME) region.
In his new role, Heinken will be tasked with strengthening the cosmetic ingredients division in scent & care. He possesses several years of research and development experience; he has previously worked at Schülke & Mayr GmbH and Schülke & Mayr. At the latter organization, held the position of international market manager for the technical biocide business and led the technical support department “special additives.”

“Bernd Heinken is bringing many years of expertise and experience,” said Daniel Ibarra, Ph.D, vice president for the EAME region in the cosmetics ingredients division. “We are pleased to have gained him for this important new position.”
