Quirino Appointed As President of Univar Brazil

Marco Antonio Quirino has been appointed president of Univar Brazil. Quirino will manage the company's Brazil business and operations and will report directly to Univar's president and CEO Erik Fyrwald. 

Quirino's appointment marks Univar's continued focus on growth in South America. He brings more than 25 years of experience in the chemical industry and has extensive knowledge of the Brazilian market. In his new role, he will be responsible for driving growth and managing operations and partner relationships across Univar's key industries including polyurethanes, personal care, food, agrochemicals, coatings, and oilfield services. Quirino replaces interim president Normand Goyer, whom he will work with to transition over the coming weeks.

Prior to joining Univar, Quirino worked with Braskem. Prior to Braskem, Quirino worked as vice president of industrial and commercial operations with Quattor, a large petrochemical manufacturer. Quirino began his career and spent 20 years with the Dow Chemical company where he held a number of sales, marketing, and general management positions, including commercial director for plastics, marketing manager serving Latin America and account manager.
