P&G Reorganizes and Promotes

Procter & Gamble has reorganized its global business units, creating a stand-alone beauty unit, and promoted two executives within the company. The company's three business units were renamed Global Health & Well Being, Beauty Care and Household Care. Beauty Care and Health Care were formerly part of the same unit.

Susan E. Arnold has been named president of global business units and will head the three units. Before her appointment, Arnold was vice chair of P&G Beauty & Health. Additionally, Robert McDonald, vice chair of global operations, has been promoted to chief operating officer.

Charles Bergh, group president of global grooming, has been promoted to group president of global personal care. Christopher de Lapuente, group president of global professional and retail hair care, has been promoted to group president of global hair care. Virginia C. Drosos, president of global cosmetics and hair colorants, has been promoted to president of global personal beauty.
