CTFA Names New Counsel

The Cosmetic, Toiletry, and Fragrance Association (CTFA) has named Farah Ahmed as its assistant general counsel. Ahmed will be taking the place of Irene Chan, who will return to Harvard University as a Zuckerman Fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Ahmad, prior to joining the CTFA team, has held law positions at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and most recently at the firm of Kelley, Drye, Collier, Shannon.

"Farah has years of hands-on legal experience working with the FDA. Her vast knowledge will further strengthen CTFA's relationship with FDA and continue to enhance our commitment to consumer safety," said Pam Bailey, CTFA president in an association press release.
