Personal Care Truth Adds Two Cosmetic Scientists

Personal Care Truth has added two personal care scientists to its lineup of experts. Doug Schoon and Amanda Foxon-Hill will join the personal care product web portal, which aims to deliver personal care news to the consumer through the eyes of cosmetic chemists and personal care product formulators.

Amanda Foxon-Hill joined the cosmetics industry in 1998 with Brenntag. She then spent time at Octel, now Innospec, where she was responsible for formulation development of the cosmetic ingredients range in the UK and across parts of northern Europe. She also spend time at Bronson and Jacobs as a product manager before leaving in 2007 to set up her own company. She now divides her time between her blog Realize Beauty, professional writing and consulting for cosmetic companies.

Doug Schoon is a scientist, author and educator with over 30 years experience in the cosmetic, beauty and personal care industry. He was a chief scientist for Creative Nail Design’s (CND) for nearly 20 years, where he headed the R&D laboratory and field testing/evaluation departments. He is co-chair of the Nail Manufacturers Council (NMC), and has authored several books.
