Gattefossé received a PCHi Fountain Award for Definicire (INCI: Jojoba Esters (and) Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Wax (and) Polyglycerin-3), its latest personal care launch.

Definicire, which was recognized with the Innovation Award in the ‘Functional Ingredients’ category, is a natural functional ingredient specifically developed for hair care applications. Based on functionalized jojoba and sunflower seed waxes, it is an active texturizing agent which recreates the protective lipid layer of the hair and acts as a natural alternative to silicones.

Definicire is the first launch of our diversification strategy to propose natural, high performance texture ingredients designed for haircare and color applications.”

The PCHi Fountain Awards were presented February 26, 2019, during the PCHi exhibition in Guangzhou, China.
