Evonik took home the award for Best Innovation Contributor—Beauty Care 2018 during Henkel’s supplier award ceremony, held at the 2019 American Cleaning Institute (ACI) Annual Meeting and Industry Convention.

The company was recognized for its development of a wax-based opacifier for rinse-off applications like shampoos and shower gels. It utilized the readily biodegradable ingredient in its Fa relaunch, as an alternative for microplastics.

Along with supplying Henkel with ingredients for shampoo, skin creams, hand washing liquids, detergents and fabric conditioners for its care solutions business line, Evonik supplies Henkel with raw materials for adhesive formulations for its coating and adhesive resin business line.
