Specialty zinc materials supplier EverZinc has announced the formation of EverCare, a California-based business unit “established to accelerate the market and product development of people-centric, sustainable zinc-based skincare and extended shelf life packaging products.”

Heather Naef-Owen will lead the organization, which will be headquartered in Ventura, California; she will be tasked with leading global growth and expansion. Naef-Owen most recently served as director of sales, market development and innovation for consumers good company Omya.

“At EverZinc, we are committed to creating products that matter, so we formed EverCare with a singular focus: to get closer to over eighty percent of our customers, who happen to be in the U.S., in order to serve them better and faster,” said EverZinc CEO Vincent Dujardin. “We are fortunate to have an experienced and respected industry leader of Heather’s caliber to lead this strategically important new business unit.”

He added: “The formation of EverCare underscores our company-wide commitment to execute our key strategic growth opportunities in full alignment with our customers’ wishes and requirements. Over the past six months at EverZinc, we have taken decisive steps to future-proof our entire business by exploring rechargeable zinc-air solutions, creating new product preservation coatings and investing in new skincare products. While much remains to be done, we are very pleased with the speed and progress of our execution and results.”
