For the ninth year, Cognis GmbH has awarded employees with the Innovation Award, a destinction recognizing the creative thinking and outstanding achievements of four winning teams—two in the company's personal care business unit.
The Gold Award went to a team in the functional products strategic business unit for Emgard FE, a fuel-efficient axle lubricant for heavy-duty trucks. The Silver Award went to a team from the care chemicals strategic business unit for Plantapon LGC Sorb, an environmentally-friendly anionic surfactant based on alkyl polyglycosides technology.The Bronze Award also went to a team from the care chemicals strategic business unit, this time for the development of a customized Euperlan pearlizer concentrate.
For the first time this year, the company awarded the Special Category Award to the team that implemented measures to improve the ether sulfate production process. The company’s CEO, Antonio Trius, presented the winners with their awards at a gala ceremony.
