LVMH Builds Expanded R&D Center

LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton is investing €29 million in a R&D center in Saint Jean-de-Braye, France. The 177,605 square-foot R&D center will house both the company's fragrance and cosmetic brands and will be called Helios.

The center will be built on LVMH's existing R&D and manufacturing site for Parfums Christian Dior. It is expected to be completed in 2010 and will unite the company's 250 researchers. Formulas will be developed at the site for makeup, skin care and fragrance products. According to the company, it intends to expand the facility to house many more researchers in the future.
