Letter from the NYSCC Suppliers' Day Chair

Dear Suppliers and Attendees,

I am pleased to invite you to the upcoming 2013 NYSCC Suppliers’ Day show. The committee has been busy planning and preparing for what we expect will be one of the best Suppliers’ Day shows to date. Suppliers’ Day provides a unique venue to showcase technology designed for the cosmetic industry. From its humble beginnings as a local event, Suppliers’ Day has grown into a premier, international show, with hundreds of exhibitors and several thousand attendees from more than 40 countries.

Each year, the committee strives to improve upon the previous show to enhance the experience for each person who attends. This year, the committee has incorporated numerous changes that will improve the exhibitor experience while allowing attendees to maximize their time at the event. We hope you were pleased with the early booth placement this year as well as viewing the most recent floor plans at www.nyscc.org/files/floorplan.pdf. As this is a new system for us, we strive to continually improve each year until all the “bugs” are out.

Some highlights to mention include:
• Badge scanners on lead retrieval systems to allow for quicker lead generation so attendees can visit more companies.
• In 2013, the Torch of Technology is not limited to showcasing new technologies launched in the previous year. Now suppliers can promote established products or even re-launched technologies. As an added bonus, the top three showcases in the room will be recognized and given free press. So if you haven’t registered yet, it’s not too late!
• New and improved badge printing technology has been developed to help alleviate registration and entry lines into the show.

As chairperson, I cannot express the gratitude I have for the 18 volunteers who have worked so hard to make this show a great success. It is through sacrifice of their personal time as well as the support from their employers that Suppliers’ Day can continue to be a premier industry event. I would also like to offer special thanks to the Raritan Center for hosting the event, and to Allured Business Media (publisher of Cosmetics & Toiletries and GCI), Rodman Publishing and Innovadex. Their contributions will be instrumental to the success of this event. Also, special thanks to the generous sponsors who have participated in this year’s sponsorship program.

Finally, the 2013 show’s success greatly depends on the participation from the membership. For pre-registration and event information, please visit the NYSCC’s website. Thank you in advance for attending this year’s event. Should you have any suggestions regarding how we can improve your experience, I would eagerly accept your feedback. Please send an e-mail to [email protected].
