Syria Announces Cosmetic Expo

Since July 24, 2006, Syria has been allowed to import finished products such as cosmetics and perfumes. To celebrate a broader trade freedom, Syria will host Cosmetic Expo 2006. At the expo, Syria is planning to introduce themselves as an emerging personal care market in the Middle East.

The decision to allow personal care imports was made by the Syrian Minister of Economy and Trade through resolution number 60-1952, decree 1824 which declared that aromatic oils, mixtures ornamental, perfumes, Parvan water perfuming, cosmetics, hair care, dental care, and shaving care were allowed to enter the country of Syria through customs.

The Cosmetic Expo 2006 will be held in Damascus, Syria on November 18-21, 2006. For contact information visit Cosmetics & Toiletries events calendar.
