Conference on Applied Hair Science Calls for Papers

TRI/Princeton (Princeton, N.J., USA) will host the Second International Conference on Applied Hair Science Sept. 18–19, 2006, in Princeton, N.J. A variety of topics will be highlighted, including: chemical, physical and surface properties of hair; measurement of consumer-desired attributes such as luster, body and smoothness; fundamental mechanisms of hair damage and its prevention; interaction of actives with hair; ethnic hair studies; and evaluation of product efficacy, among others.

Abstracts for oral and poster presentations must be submitted by May 1, 2006. Interested applicants should e-mail their abstract to the conference organizer at [email protected], or complete the abstract submission form on the conference Web site at; www.triprinceton.org/hair2006.

Best Paper Award: Wella Service GmbH will sponsor the Best Paper Award. The winner, to be chosen by Yash K. Kamath, Ph.D., conference chair, and members of the International Advisory Committee, will receive $3,000.
