Consumer spending on premium topical gels and creams to combat the signs of fatigue is expected to rise in the next ten years, thanks (or not) in part to unhealthy lifestyles.

As reported by Fact.MR, he global anti-fatigue cosmetics market is gaining traction worldwide, and is expected to rise with a moderate CAGR of ~4.4% between 2019 and 2029. The firm reports this market has been moving on an upward trajectory and can be largely attributed to factors such as the impact of unhealthy lifestyles on skin, increased levels of pollution, skin care awareness campaigns and higher disposable incomes.

The market also is supported by the rising use of natural and organic ingredients in products, as companies transition away from conventional and synthetic counterparts. Increased interest from consumers in skin care is also a key driver.

Creams were reported as the largest segment in anti-fatigue cosmetics market, accounting for more than 35%. They are expected to dominate throughout the forecast period, due to the popularity of moisturizers and creams among consumers.

Multi-feature anti-fatigue cosmetics are expected to gain substantial consumer demand, with lucrative opportunities coming from the use of organic ingredients.

Interestingly, North America is expected to account for more than 36% of the global anti-fatigue cosmetics market share based on the higher number of incidences of insomnia and chronic fatigue syndrome. Countries in East Asia, South Asia and Oceania are projected to grow at a faster pace in the near future, with major contributions coming from India, China, South Korea and Japan.

Regarding channels, offline distribution continues to account for a large market share of more than 80%, owing to substantial value coming from hypermarkets, supermarkets and specialist beauty and personal care stores. Multi-feature anti-fatigue cosmetics are expected to gain substantial consumer demand, with lucrative opportunities coming from the use of organic ingredients.

“Consumers have evolved beyond traditional grooming products and have shown higher interest in anti-fatigue cosmetics," state Fact.MR analysts. "As a result, cosmetic product manufacturers have incorporated anti-fatigue cosmetics into their portfolios to cater to the rising consumer demand for anti-fatigue products.”
