Damilola Fajuyigbe, Ph.D., is a graduate of King's College London with a doctorate in molecular biology. She is currently head of Scientific and Medical Direction for L’Oréal sub-Saharan Africa, where she leads the development of scientific studies and medical affairs activities in Africa. She also teaches doctors in the DIU Cosmetology and Aesthetic Dermatology program at the Hospital Saint Louis, France.She has been actively contributed to understanding the effects of skin color on photobiological responses for years, and has been published as a first author in international journals, as well as published a book chapter on this topic. Currently, her research focuses on the clinical characterization of the hair and skin physiology of Africans living in Africa. She seeks to understand the impact of various environmental factors and grooming practices to gain insight into the common clinical manifestations of hair and skin disorders in this population.
