Ease Up uses upcycled green fig extract pressed from repurposed fig stones from food waste that is antioxidant-rich with high volumes of vitamin A and vitamin C. The trio of gentle acids provides exfoliation and the ceramides and PCA provide moisture to repair skin barrier.

Everyday Humans used a beta tester program during the development of Ease Up, inviting 200 brand consumers to test out the product and provide real-time feedback. According to the brand, this will be an implemented strategy for future product developments.

“Creating an effective post-sun care skin care product is an obvious and much-needed next step for us, and our community collectively agreed,” said Charlotte Chen Pienaar, founder of Everyday Humans. “As a conscious beauty brand that stands for uncompromised standards and principles, the power of the community means we can gather vital feedback to provide our customers with products they actually want and need. Today’s launch furthers our mission to increase sun protection awareness for all, and help consumers build healthier and more sustainable habits around sun-led skin care.”

Pienaar continued, “For Everyday Humans, upcycled beauty gives us the opportunity to reconsider how we use beauty products to create a healthier planet beyond packaging. What would conventionally be food waste, like peels, fruit stones or leaves and stems are now being distilled into oils and extracts that is now used as our hero ingredients.”

Ease Up PHA Watery Oil Cleanser costs $18.50 and is available at everyday-humans.com.
