Silicone Hair Volumizer and Conditioner

Chemsil has combined a cationic hindered amino silicone polymer with an organic quaternium salt to create a microemulsion that increases hair volume while conditioning in conditioning hair formulations. Microsil Volume (INCI: Propoxytetramethy Piperdinyl Dimethicone (and) Cetrimonium Chloride (and) Trideceth-6 (and) C11-15 Pareth-7) was found to increase hair volume 23%.

This cationic complex, while developed to condition and increase volume in hair conditioners and conditioning hair treatments, can also be used to create clear hair care products. The complex also provides anti-static control, softness and shine to hair.

In addition to the above benefits, the company also discovered that the silicones in the blend scavenge free radicals and antioxidants to protect hair from environmental damage and protect the stability of the finished product. The complex is recommended at 5-10% in formulations.
