Powder to Add Shine, Combability and Hydration to Hair

BioOrganic Concepts has added a hair powder to its Dermatein Power Powder line. Lustre or Dermatein Power Powder IV (INCI: Maltodextrin (and) Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (and) Sodium Hyaluronate (and) Panthenol (and) Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein (and) Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract (and) Chamomile Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract (and) Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail) Extract (and) Citric Acid) was created to give hair maximum hydration, easy wet combing and shine.

The powder is formulated with a natural vegetable-based cationic guar gum that was selected for its high substantivity and low build up. A low molecular weight sodium hyaluronate was chosen for its ability to quickly penetrate to the deeper layers of the epidermis to hydrate and bind water. Moisture retention and balance are enhanced through the use of hydrolyzed vegetable protein by creating a protective film for skin and hair. It also contains panthenol, known for its moisturizing, humectant and emollient properties.

The product includes botanical extracts such as horsetail extract, an important source of silica, to help retain moisture and add shine to hair. It is known to help strengthen connective tissue. Hops extract has soothing and cleansing properties. Chamomile extract contributes to skin softening and has a brightening effect on hair.

According to the company, the powder is useful in both hair and skin care products and can be used at 1.0% and higher, up to 5.0% for maximum effectiveness. The product is pre-measured and mixed for convenience in compounding.
