Good News for Vitamin E

The future of vitamin E in the cosmetic market looks good, according to a recent analysis by market researcher Frost and Sullivan.  By 2012, the company estimates that vitamin E sales will have exceeded US$13.6 million.  Frost and Sullivan attribute this analysis to the growth in usage of vitamin E in anti-aging and scar diminishing cosmetic products.

The one factor that Frost and Sullivan believe will impede the growth of sales for vitamin E, is the small volume of the vitamin available for a high price.    In 2005, according to the company, vitamin E use in cosmetics accounted for 4.1 percent, or $8.6 million out of $209.6 million in total sales for the vitamin.
