Celligent (INCI: Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil (and) Ethyl Ferulate (and) Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract (and) Tocopherol) was previously released by Rahn as an active to help prevent the damaging effects of blue light on skin. New data suggests it could also sync up the body's circadian rhythm.

Blue light can affect the body's preprogrammed circadian rhythm, which is activated when our eyes perceive the blue light part of the spectrum. If this rhythm is disturbed, it disrupts our bodies similar to jet lag, and even skin can suffer from these effects after long distance travel, long work days, usage of blue light-emitting media or even UV light exposure, which causes additional damage to the skin barrier and cellular DNA.

The Celligent ingredient has been shown to recalibrate the biorhythm of skin thanks to two powerful circadian-influencing antioxidants obtained from rice and rosemary. By resetting the master genes of the epidermal clock, the ingredient is said to immediately strengthen the skin barrier, increase moisture and eliminate redness. This results in a fresh appearance and smooth, moisturized skin.
