On October 9, 2020, Kanebo will update four of its core skin care products, which already were formulated based on the inspiration of the moisture-preserving barrier function of the stratum corneum.
The new creams are said to offer the advanced sensations and functions of Kanebo’s existing morning and night creams. The products to be revamped include the Kanebo On Skin Essence V, Kanebo On Skin Essence F, Kanebo Cream in Day and Kanebo Cream in Night, and will offer full moisturizing benefits.
In addition, new skin essences will be introduced that aim to protect the skin in dry environments. The upcoming products will be based on Kanebo’s two-step skin care routine, Unify System “ON. & IN.” The formulations are positioned to be gender-inclusive, to bring out the natural beauty in every person.
One of the products, Kanebo On Skin Essence V, is a skin essence formulated to permeate the stratum corneum with a layer of moisture that protects the skin from dry environments. The company’s “Veil on Skin Formula” forms an even layer to seal in moisturizing ingredients to penetrate deep into the skin. The “veil” also scatters light to soften the appearance of the skin with a gentle glow.
The morning cream, Kanebo Cream in Day, locks in moisture throughout the day. According to the company, a single application of the product with one’s morning skin care regime retains moisturization for hours. The oil formulation of Cream in Day is inspired by the vernix caseosa, the waxy white substance found coating the skin of newborn human babies. Its melting texture blends into the skin to provide daytime moisture.
The cream also protects the skin from UV rays with an SPF20 PA+++ rating. A single application is said to bring out a healthy luster from within while improving and prolonging makeup wear. The cream is ideal as a makeup base and also for application over makeup.
